Job Description
As an Associate System Engineer at IBM, you will be involved in various stages of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support. You will help build software solutions that support IBM clients in their hybrid cloud and AI transformation journeys.
Your Role and Responsibilities
• Analyze, validate, and propose improvements to existing system issues with guidance from architects and technical leaders
• Participate in end-to-end development processes including design, coding, testing, release, and troubleshooting
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver innovative technical solutions
• Develop high-performing, scalable, and maintainable applications
• Ensure timely delivery of quality code and support customer service excellence
Required Education
• Bachelor’s Degree (Completed before joining IBM)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Programming knowledge in Java, C++, Python, or Node.js
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts
• No active backlogs at the time of application
• Eligible branches include CSE, AIML, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, CSBS, IoT, Robotics, AI, Cyber Security, Blockchain, and IT-related branches
• Minimum 6 CGPA or 60% throughout academics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Engineering background with strong problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to work from any location across India
