Job Description
As a Software Development AI Engineer at Rohde & Schwarz, you will work on cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions focused on mobile radio testing environments. The role involves contributing across the full product lifecycle, from data processing and AI model development to deployment and cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from mobile radio testing environments
• Develop, automate, and maintain scalable cloud-based infrastructures for AI systems
• Apply traditional machine learning and deep learning techniques such as classification, regression, and feature extraction
• Implement and benchmark Generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and MCP concepts
• Automate DevOps and MLOps workflows to enable smooth AI model deployment
• Work with containerization and cloud platforms to integrate AI solutions into products
• Contribute to end-to-end product development including app and web UI design
• Collaborate with cross-functional and multinational engineering teams
Requirements
• Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD degree in Computer Science or Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and AI/ML development
• Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including CNNs, Transformers, training, fine-tuning, and benchmarking
• Exposure or strong interest in LLM engineering, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, and benchmarking tools such as RAGAS
• Familiarity or interest in DevOps and MLOps practices
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and cloud platforms such as Kubernetes (Azure is a plus)
• Exposure to web frameworks like FastAPI, React, or Vercel is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a global, collaborative environment with excellent communication skills
