Job Description
As a QA Analyst at Zynga, you will play a key role in improving the quality of mobile games. You will work closely with developers and QA teams to enhance test processes, lead feature testing, and ensure timely delivery within production timelines.
You will also support junior QA members and vendor teams to drive efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve QA development tools such as debug menus and crash capturing systems.
- Assist in onboarding new QA analysts and managing release testing ownership.
- Maintain and update regression plans, cross-feature plans, and test strategies.
- Manage multiple QA testers and oversee feature testing.
- Apply advanced testing methods such as test matrices and state tables.
- Analyze performance data using profiling tools like Xcode, GameBench, etc.
- Work on client-server testing, server validation, and mobile DLC testing.
- Utilize Python or scripting languages for automation and optimization.
- Use Jenkins for CI/CD automation and pipeline scripting.
- Query databases using SQL for validation and troubleshooting.
Required Skills
- Basic to intermediate understanding of software testing principles.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Proficiency in Python or any scripting language.
- Understanding of SQL for database validation.
- Ability to analyze risks and testing coverage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gaming industry.
- ASTQB certification.
- Experience with device farms like AWS or Testdroid.
- Knowledge of ad networks.
- Ability to write pseudocode for edge case testing.
