Role Overview
The Automation Support Engineer will automate defined operational tasks, troubleshoot software issues, monitor processes and support documentation, reporting and customer coordination within managed service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement automation for defined managed service tasks.
- Support processes involving Linux, Windows and Unix-based environments.
- Maintain process documentation, reports, backups and restoration procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor software and code issues.
- Monitor processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Coordinate with team members and customers.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for management and customers.
- Mentor and guide team members when required.
Eligibility & Required Skills
- Full-time bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Electronics, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Relevant experience not more than 1 year.
- Strong understanding of Unix-based operating systems.
- Basic Linux knowledge and L1 knowledge of RHEL/Windows.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting; AWK, SED and basic Unix scripting are desirable.
- Basic database knowledge and SQL scripting.
- Knowledge of Java or Python is useful.
- Basic understanding of AI using LLM, mobile technologies, ELK and Prometheus is mentioned.
