Job Description
Device Associates at Amazon work on manual testing for cutting-edge applications and products. This role focuses on Black Box Testing at the user level, ensuring high-quality software releases through accurate execution of test cases and detailed reporting.
Key Job Responsibilities
• Execute test cases for desktop and mobile software builds related to Amazon Assistant products
• Perform test case execution and accurately report bugs and issues
• Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new releases
• Conduct regression and repetitive testing to qualify software builds
• Use software tools such as adb commands for daily data capture
• Capture results, communicate failures, escalate issues, and provide status reports
• Raise execution-related doubts in clarification portals and close them as per SLAs
• Read basic scripts for troubleshooting purposes
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Analytics, Mathematics, or related fields
• Knowledge of Windows desktop environment and tools like Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Firefox
• Experience or exposure to QA, testing, IT support, helpdesk, or technician roles
• Understanding of QA methodologies and testing tools
• Ability to understand product and technical requirements and work with technology teams
Preferred Qualifications
• BE / BTech / BS in Computer Science, MCA, or MSc in Information Technology
• Familiarity with QA methodologies and testing practices
• Ability to understand technical specifications and software behavior
• Fresher or candidates with 1–2 years of QA-related experience
