As an AI Apprentice at CGI, selected candidates will work closely with experienced engineers to build, evaluate, and improve AI and NLP models while contributing to enterprise-level projects.
Job Description
In this role, you will assist in developing AI models for tasks such as text classification and summarization. You will support data preprocessing workflows and collaborate with senior engineers to solve real-world language and AI-driven problems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of NLP models for text classification, NER, and summarization
- Support data preprocessing, tokenization, and data annotation workflows
- Collaborate with senior engineers and linguists on real-world AI problems
- Evaluate model performance using metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, and F1-score
- Document experiments, datasets, and model behaviors clearly
- Stay updated with the latest research in Transformers, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering
- Work in rotational shifts and extended hours to meet project deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech – CS/IT preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Python
- Good understanding of NLP and Deep Learning concepts
- Familiarity with data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and extended hours
