Your Team Responsibilities
As an Associate Software Engineer at MSCI, you will work on designing and delivering scalable AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions that power enterprise applications. You will contribute to AI strategy, ensure robust production pipelines, and support the full AI/ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI systems
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to solve high-impact problems using AI
• Architect clean, efficient, and scalable ML and data pipelines using modern frameworks and cloud services
• Deploy AI models into production with high reliability, scalability, and low latency
• Stay updated with advancements in Generative AI and apply them to real-world use cases
• Follow best practices in model training, evaluation, interpretability, and governance
• Mentor junior engineers and promote innovation and technical excellence
Your Skills and Experience
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, and Scikit-learn
• Experience building and deploying AI/ML systems at scale (batch or real-time)
• Practical exposure to Generative AI techniques including LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Understanding of MLOps practices and tools like MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Experience with data modeling, feature engineering, and large-scale data processing (Spark or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset
Additional Preferred Experience
• Experience with multimodal AI (text, vision, audio)
• Open-source contributions, research publications, or patents in AI/ML
