Job Description
Stripe is looking for motivated engineers who meet the minimum qualifications for the Software Engineer / New Graduate role. Candidates who meet the requirements are encouraged to apply, while preferred qualifications are considered an added advantage.
Responsibilities
• Work on cross-functional projects and collaborate with engineers across teams
• Provide meaningful feedback during code reviews and technical design discussions
• Ensure systems operate reliably and scale effectively to meet user needs
• Develop the ability to own projects end-to-end, including planning and execution
• Build project management and technical leadership skills over time
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, completed by Summer 2026, or equivalent experience
• Experience with programming through coursework, side projects, or internships
• Familiarity with one or more languages such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go
• Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship
Preferred Qualifications
• Specialized knowledge in one or more technical areas along with strong general skills
• Understanding of frontend technologies and HTTP request handling at a high level
• Experience with code review practices and safely updating production systems
• Familiarity with working in large and complex codebases
